Solais Lighting, Inc., the leading manufacturer of lightweight, specification-grade LED lamps with Luxiance® technology, was featured in Chain Store Age magazine’s November 2011 issue in the featured case study titled, “Timberland’s Lighting Upgrade.”
Chain Store Age (CSA) magazine (www.chainstoreage.com) is a monthly publication that serves retail headquarters management. As a leading publication, CSA reports on the trends and strategies in multiple areas of retail discipline, including corporate strategies, networking, finance, marketing, store design and visual merchandising, and real estate development.
Timberland executives discussed both the Solais LED lamps, as well as their affect on the store and its merchandise. Also discussed was Timberland’s desire to decrease their environmental footprint, and the ways in which Solais products were able to help the achieve this.
According to Al Buell, store planning and construction project manager of Timberland (Stratham, NH), Solais LEDs are Timberland’s “go-to” lamps for all new construction and as replacements for the stores’ older lighting technology as it fails. “The color and brightness of the Solais lamps are excellent,” he added. “The store lighting is now exactly where I want it to be.”
Ryan Hunt, national account sales manager of Standard Electric Supply (Wilmington, MA)., is Timberland’s electrical distributor of record. He stated that Timberland “wanted an LED lamp that would really draw out the colors in their stores and make their merchandise pop.”
