Solais Lighting, Inc., the leading manufacturer of lightweight, specification-grade LED lamps with Luxiance® technology, was featured in LD+A Magazine’s July 2011 issue in a feature article written by James Brodrik, lighting program manager for the U.S. Department of Energy, Building Technologies Program, titled "Can Museums Measure Up?"
Lighting Design + Application (LD+A) is a magazine for professionals involved in the art, science, study, manufacture, teaching, and implementation of lighting. Every issue of LD+A includes feature articles on design projects, technical articles on the science of illumination, new product developments, industry trends, news of the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, and vital information about the illuminating profession.
Solais was included in the article that highlighted the participants of the U.S. Department of Energy Gateway museum demonstration taking place at the Smithsonian American Art Museum. The article covers the department's study of LED lamp sources versus traditional sources. Being a part of this prestigious install is an enormous achievement for Solais since museums rank among the most demanding and exacting of all lighting applications.
